Soup Kitchen - Meals for homeless during Thanksgiving and
Christmas
Bell Ringers – Raise funds for Salvation Army
Boys/Girls Club - Sumter Palmetto Rotary makes a contribution
of $250.00
Environmental Protection
International Service
Gift
of Life – Our club budgets $1,000 to support the Gift
of Life program.
Vocational Service
Law
Enforcement Day – Annual Law Enforcement Appreciation
Day – Recognize the
Sumter County Law Enforcement Officer of the Year.
Career Day – High school students shadow a professional
for a day.
CART (Alzheimers Research) – Have a different Rotarian
sponsor a matching fund each
month to support the search for a cure of Alzheimers.
Literacy – Distribute dictionaries to Sumter County
third graders.
School Support
Adopt Furman Middle School to provide supplies and
health
care items to underprivileged students as well as assist
the school with
volunteer help when needed.
World Community Service
Water project – Our club will budget $1,000 for the
water project and these funds will be complimented by a
matching grant request.
